Betty June Bailes
June 15, 1930— March 10, 2026
Krum, TX
Betty June Bailes, 95, of Krum, Texas, passed away in Krum on March 10, 2026. Born in Greenwood, Texas, on June 15, 1930, to Jesse and Lena (Lyle) Fellers, she grew up surrounded by a large and loving family.
In 1948 she married Thomas Champ Bailes, and together they made their home in Sanger, Texas, where they raised their children. Betty later worked for many years at Dillard’s before continuing her career with CoServ, from which she retired. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior on August 12, 1942, and remained a devoted follower of Jesus throughout her life. A longtime member of Denton Bible Church, she served faithfully in Bible Study Fellowship for 18 years and was known for her deep prayer life, lifting each family member by name to the Lord night after night.
Betty’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her children unconditionally and cherished the five generations that descended from her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, her parents, all of her brothers and sisters, and several beloved children and grandchildren, including her son Bobby Dale Bailes, daughters Linda Stephens and Abbie Omega Williams, son-in-law Tommy Joe Rhodes, and grandson Thomas Michael “Dusty” Rhodes. She leaves behind her children Diane Rhodes of Sanger, Debbie Baker of Sanger, Tommie Jean Counts of Krum, and Champ Bailes of Sanger, along with 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 30 great-great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry her memory with love and gratitude.
