Betty Jo Simcox

Betty Jo Simcox, age 87 of Bryan Davis Rd., Creston, NC passed away on Saturday evening March 7, 2026 at Glenbridge Health & Rehabilitation in Boone, NC. Betty was born December 5, 1938 in Ashe, County, NC to the late Bryan Davis and Hattie Calhoun Davis. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband John Simcox, siblings, Earsie Holman, Marie Williams, Thomas Davis, Garvie Davis and Martin Davis.

Betty was an Avon representative for over 40 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and she loved the Lord.

Betty is survived by her son Ernest Simcox and wife Sherry of Creston, NC; grandson, Joshua Simcox and wife Pamela of Zionville, NC; sister, Ruth Rogers of Delaware, brother, Jerry Davis and wife Edith of Jefferson, NC along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 11, 2026 from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. from Mountain City Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 4:30 p.m. with Mike Farmer officiating. Graveside service and burial will follow from the Cox- Davis Cemetery (Bryan Davis Rd., Creston, NC), pallbearers will be Joshua Simcox, Jerry Lowe, Ricky Williams, Christopher Williams, Jerry Bryan Davis and Thomas Davis.
