Betty Jean Drewery

Betty Jean Drewery was born on December 11, 1951, in Parker, Florida and was the daughter of the late J.T. and Mary Thomas. Betty passed away on March 15, 2026 at her daughters’ residence in Jenkinsburg, GA.

She grew up in Parker and graduated from Rutherford High School in Panama City, Florida. Betty worked as the Administrator of Georgia Center for Sight for Drs. Jing Dong and Richard Blue for 30 years. This was a big part of her life and something she was proud to do.

She was a member of Parker Baptist Church while living in Parker, Florida. In 1990, Betty moved to Georgia. There, she became a member of Union Baptist Church. Her faith was important to her throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, Ellis Carl Drewery, and their daughter, Emily Drewery. Betty also leaves behind her siblings, Robert Thomas, Marie Hall, and Millard Thomas. Betty Jean Drewery lived a life of dedication, faith, and family.

She will be remembered for her kindness and the many years she spent helping others in her work and community.
