July 14, 1935 March 3, 2026

Iowa Park, TX

Betty Jane Bartow, 90, of Iowa Park, peacefully passed away on March 3, 2026, joining her Heavenly Father and her Cherokee Ancestors.

Born on July 14, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Betty and her twin brother Bill were the youngest of eight children born to James Elbert Bennett and Laura Jane Gann. After graduating from high school in Oklahoma City, she moved to California, where she met and married the love of her life, William Abda Bartow. In 1973, the couple moved their young family to Iowa Park to be closer to relatives.

Betty had a deep love for singing, dancing, crocheting, knitting, sewing, reading, and baking. With a servant’s heart, she devoted her career to the medical field, spending the last thirty years caring for the elderly. She is remembered as a gentle, giving woman whose quiet strength touched many lives.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Dee Ceburn Bennett, Hubert Bennett, Ruby Bennett Gibson, Earl Bennett, James Bennett, Jewel Bennett Burdette, and her twin brother Bill. Betty is survived by her children Lowery and Suzan Bartow of Waco, Lisa and Kevin Boring of Wichita Falls, Lawrence Bartow of Iowa Park, and Loretta Bartow of Richardson; her adored grandchildren Matthew and Christine Bartow, Zachary, Hunter, Dawson, Jackson, and Ian Porter, Alexandria Porter, Nicole and Joshua McIntosh, Natalie and Cody Frediani, and Nolan Bartow; and her beautiful great-grandchildren Aaron Bartow, Zola, Eloise, August, and Wyatt McIntosh, Sophie Frediani, and Penelope Bartow, along with many nieces and nephews. Her family will carry her memory with deep love and gratitude.
