Betty J. Ross-Morrison, 91, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at Christus St. Michael in Texarkana, Texas.
Deeply rooted in her faith from an early age, Betty confessed her love for Christ as a child and lived a life guided by those Christian values. Her strong faith shaped how she loved, served, and cared for others throughout her years. She attended elementary school in Rosston, Arkansas, and graduated from Yerger High School in Hope with the Class of 1955. Known for her diligent work ethic, she held various roles over her lifetime and remained committed to providing for her family.
Betty was married to Ledell Morrison and together they raised two sons and two daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Carrie Ross; her brothers, Wilton, Leonard, Theodore, Tilmon, Thomas Terrell, and Jim Wayne Ross; and her sisters, Birdie Lee Mauldin, Reona Muldrew, and Charlene Hayden.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (Tunga) Morrison of Prescott, Arkansas, and Gregory Morrison of Texarkana, Texas; her daughters, Tanya Kay Morrison and Sonya Morrison of Hope, Arkansas; her stepson, Clifford Morrison; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; her special niece, Carrie Jones, who was like a sister to her; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Those who knew and loved Betty will cherish the memories of her life and the quiet strength she showed to everyone around her.
