Betty Frances Beasley Bowman

Mrs. Betty Frances Beasley Bowman, age 80, of Claudville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. Born in Patrick County, Virginia, on April 2, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Mays Beasley and Lizzie Frances Lawson Beasley.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warm presence touched everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Norman “Cherokee” Odell Bowman, of the home; her son, Norman Scott Bowman and his wife Dawn Easter; her grandchildren, Olivia Wilson and Hagen Wilson; her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Beasley Matthews and Bobby; her sister-in-law, Sheila Beasley; and many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Glenn Beasley.
