Betty D. Dean

Betty D. Dean, age 95, of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Summit Place Anderson.

Born on April 13, 1930, in Starr, South Carolina, Betty was the daughter of the late Fred Dean and Junita Drake Dean. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Clinkscales Dean, and her sister, Emily Fowler.

Betty enjoyed a long career with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control before retiring. A lifelong member of Starr Baptist Church, she remained deeply connected to her faith and her community throughout her life.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Duffell of Starr, and many loving nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
