Fife Lake, MI
Betty Ann Martinson, born on August 10, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on March 6, 2026, at the Munson Hospice House. A woman of warmth and kindness, Betty touched the lives of all who knew her with her gentle spirit and steadfast devotion to family and faith.
Daughter of Harold Rowan and Lillian Gertrude Watson, Betty was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Mockerman, stepfather Harold Rowan, mother Lillian Watson, baby sister Janet, and mother-in-law Mary. She shared 64 years of marriage with her husband George Martinson, having exchanged vows on April 14, 1961, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in East Grand Rapids. A graduate of Lee High School, Betty was a loving mother to Debra Grose, Ronald Martinson, and David Martinson. She took great pride and joy in her 10 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Betty was an avid bowler who competed in tournaments across the country and a faithful member of Fife Lake Baptist Church. She cherished traveling with George, following NASCAR and baseball, attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s games, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
She will be remembered fondly by her husband George and all the family members whose lives she so tenderly shaped.
