Betty A. Beimel

Betty A. Beimel, 84, of Sykesville passed away on March 12, 2026, peacefully at home.Born April 14, 1941, she was the daughter of Ethel (Sheesley) and George Bobige.In November 1983 (Thanksgiving Day), she married Melvin Beimel. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2020. She was also preceded in death by infant grandson, Kaleb Cowan.Betty retired from Symmco, Inc. after almost 30 years of service.She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, traveling with Mel, and with her girlfriends. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her church, it was her second home.Betty is survived by her children, John (Lisa) Cowan; Gregory (Laurie) Cowan; Kevin (Trisha) Cowan; and her stepson, Randy (Jen) Beimel; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alice (Ted) BrownLee, Mary (Joseph) Kelly, and Irene (Ted) Coporale.There will be no viewing at the request of Betty.A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, Sykesville, celebrated by Father John Malthaner.Memorial donations may be made in Betty's memory to Holy Spirit Church in Sykesville.
