LILESVILLE - On Friday, March 6, 2026, Mother Bessie Smith Teal, 96, passed away peacefully at her home with the daughters by her bedside to be with her Lord and Savior.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2026 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bessie Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery in Lilesville.
Public viewing will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the funeral home.
The family is gathering at the Teal home in Lilesville.
