Heslop, 91, of Newport, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Harmar Place Extended Care. She was born on February 17, 1935, in Lawrence Twp, the daughter of Benjamin and Mabel Oliver.Bessie was a homemaker who enjoyed embroidery, sewing and gardening, volunteering with the Newport Food Pantry, working on Lower Newport Election Board, and was a member of Moss Run Community Church after being a member of No. 9 Community Church for 45 years.On September 7, 1958, she married Ralph W. Heslop who preceded her to Heaven along with her parents, a sister Fay Beardmore, 1 daughter & Son-in-law Anita (Dan) Turley and 2 grandchildren Eugene Wright and Tucker Heslop.She is survived by 1 son and 2 daughters: Perry (Beth) Heslop, Beverly (Ivan) Nunn and Jill (Mike) Roach, all of Washington County; Grandchildren: Briana (Ike) Nunn, Hans Wright, Renea Turley, Heather (Tyler) Kiggans, Scotty (Melissa) Heslop, Jordan (Amanda) Heslop; Great Grandchildren: Ivan Duane, Alex (Korie), Bishop and Isabelle Nunn, Vincent and Mikah Adams, Tanner and Maycee Kiggens, and Maria Heslop; Great-Great Grandchild: Bastian Nunn.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday (March 7) at 11:00 at McClure-Shafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Burial in East Lawn Memorial Park.
