Berton (Bert) Stanley Brundage, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Nixa, Missouri on March 4, 2026. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on December 31, 1956 to Berton Stanley Brundage, Sr. and Barbara Ann (Dillard) Brundage. Bert graduated from high school in Harrison, Arkansas and then went to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville before moving to Ozark, Missouri to be closer to his family. He spent a majority of his life in the Springfield, Missouri area.

Bert had a wide variety of interests including writing his own music and avidly playing guitar. He enjoyed going trout fishing with his dad on Lake Taneycomo and they also would go on fishing trips to Colorado. During his youth, Bert was a boy scout and won several fishing derbies. Bert also studied martial arts when he was younger and was a big Bruce Lee fan. He was an animal lover and had a close bond with his min-pin dog, Rita. He worked at Walmart as a stocker for many years and was a hard worker. He was constantly helping others with yard work and anything he could do to assist his neighbors and acquaintances. He was a gentle soul and a good brother.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother. He is survived by his sisters; Terry Miller of Austin, Texas, Susan Marie Brundage and brother-in-law Christopher Ivory of State College, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his step-siblings; Jennifer Bennett-Stuchly (Joe) of Frisco, Texas and James Bennett of Wichita Falls, Texas and three nieces and 2 nephews.

Bert will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his kindness to others and loving memories he made with those close to him throughout his life. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory
