Bertha Harper

Bertha Harper, 65, of Scott, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Earnest Harper. Bertha’s children who will cherish her memory include Pearlie Givens, Michael Brooks (Chrishuna), Latarsha Givens and her companion Terry Ward, Byron Harper (Ashley), Dorothy Davis (Stacy), and daughter-in-law Carolyn Harper, widow of the late Earnest Harper. She is also survived by her siblings, Calvin Givens (Susan), Pearlie Clay, Winnie Johnson (Brady), Mary Evans, Margaret King (Gary), and Terrain Givens, along with 23 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Bertha lived a life deeply rooted in family, finding her greatest joy in the love and connections she shared with those closest to her. Her presence brought warmth and steadiness to her home and community, and she will be remembered for the quiet strength and devotion she showed throughout her years.
