Bertha Hardison

Bertha Hardison, 93, passed away on March 14, 2026, following a short illness. She was born on August 26, 1932, in Belmont, Maine, the daughter of Clarence and Viola Morse.

Bertha graduated from Crosby High School with the Class of 1949 and later from the Maine Eye & Ear Infirmary School of Nursing in 1952. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Maine General and Osteopathic Hospitals until her retirement. In her later years, she found great joy at her homes on Little Sebago Lake in Maine and in Briny Breezes, Florida, where she spent many happy hours gardening, quilting, painting, playing cards, and enjoying shuffleboard.

Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Harold Hardison; her son, Stephen; her parents; and her brothers, Clarence Morse Jr., Norman Morse, and James Morse. She is survived by her daughters, Terri Hardison of Portland and Sandra Small of Westbrook; three grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and her brother, Lester Morse.
