Bernita Ruth "Penny" Mohn Rosenblad

Bernita Ruth “Penny” Mohn Rosenblad passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in her favorite chair, bringing a quiet close to a long and vibrant life. Born on April 8, 1928, in West Concord, Minnesota, to Vern and Ann Day, Penny carried a spirit of determination that marked both her career and her personal relationships.

In 1956 she married Stanley Mohn, and together they formed a dynamic partnership in real estate and construction. Penny was actively involved in land development and the building of fine homes, contributing her sharp eye for detail and keen business sense to the communities they created until Stanley’s death in 1999. In 2001 she found companionship again when she married Milton Rosenblad; the couple shared eleven loving years before his passing in 2012.

Penny remained a steadfast pillar of the Day family. She is survived by her brothers, Dewey Day of Rochester and Dick Day of Owatonna, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews who will hold her memory dear. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Stanley and Milton, her sisters Lavone (Don) Bowman and Loraine (Ed) Kohler, and her brother Jack (Crystal) Day. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Cindy Freicks for the devoted care she provided over the last twelve years.
