He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernis Sturgill and Mary Lou Sturgill; and his sister Donna Hope Williams. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Sturgill of Stigler, Oklahoma; his children, Craig Sturgill (Becky) of Warrenton, Virginia and Darci Montgomery (Jason) of Warrenton, Virginia; his grandchildren, Caleb Montgomery of Warrenton, Virginia, Joshua Montgomery of Warrenton, Virginia, Jacob Montgomery of Warrenton, Virginia, Elizabeth Sturgill of Warrenton, Virginia and Violet Sturgill of Warrenton, Virginia; and his brothers, Austin Sturgill (Karen) of Harrah and Jimmy Sturgill (Cindy) of Bethel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (210 W Walnut St, Tecumseh, OK 74873). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Lake Eufaula Christian Church (415987 OK-9, Eufaula, OK 74432).
