Kibler, 96, a woman of grace and warmth, completed her earthly journey on March 11, 2026, at Shepherd's Premier Care (Arbor Rose) in Robinson, IL Born on March 11, 1930, in St. Marie Township, Jasper County, Illinois, Bernice's life was a tapestry woven with faith, love, and dedication.Bernice's early life in St. Marie Township was filled with joy and learning. As a 1947 graduate of Robinson Township High School, she not only cheered for her team but also excelled as an honor student, setting a foundation of excellence that would follow her throughout her life. Her parents, Winfred and Alta (Bailey) Loving, instilled in her a strong Christian faith that guided her in every endeavor. Her siblings preceded her in death and were, Herman (Sybil) Loving and Virginia (Edward) Lockenvitz, along with sister-in-law Mary (Dan) Truitt, and nephews Lance Loving and Alan Truitt.Benice is survived by a nephew, Brian Loving, The Villages, FL; great nephews Nick (Jennifer) Loving, Burns Harbor, IN; Reggie (Jodi) Truitt, Robinson, IL; Will Truitt, Carmel, IN; great nieces Amanda (Travis) Dunlap, Chesterton, IN; Saoirse Loving, Sierra Vista, AZ; Taylea (Nick) Sexton, Greer, SC; plus several great, great nieces and nephews and cousins.Married to Raymond C. "Bud" Kibler, on October 17, 1948, Bernice found a partner with whom she shared a love for life's finer pleasures. Together, they graced the dance floor with elegance, swaying to the rhythm of Big Band music at the local Elk's Lodge. Bernice's husband, Bud, played in various dance bands, and their shared passion for music and dance created a harmonious life.Bernice's work ethic shone brightly as she embarked on her career at the Ohio Oil Company, where her skills quickly became evident. She moved on to L. S. Heath & Son Candy Company, which later became part of Hershey Candy, and retired as the Executive Secretary to the Marketing Division. Her professionalism and gentle demeanor made her a beloved figure in the workplace.Bernice's interests extended beyond her professional life and her love for dance. She was an avid bowler, participating in the women's league at the local bowling alley. Her competitive spirit was matched by her camaraderie and sportsmanship. Her fraternal memberships included Delta Kappa Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she was Preceptor. She was a past member of the advisory committee for the Mary Heath Foundation that provides annual grants to charitable organizations throughout the region.In her life, Bernice embodied the words of Mother Teresa, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." This sentiment resonated through her every action, from her career to her relationships, and her approach to life's challenges, including her battle with dementia.Bernice passed away at Premier Memory Care in Robinson, IL, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Her gentle, interesting nature and unwavering faith in Christ left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Bernice's life was a testament to the power of living with kindness and purpose.As we remember Bernice, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, her memory a guiding light for all who were blessed to know her. Her journey on earth may have ended, but her spirit continues to inspire us to live with love and grace. Bernice L. Kibler will be deeply missed, yet her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.Funeral Services for Mrs. Bernice L. Kibler, 96, of Robinson will be conducted Thursday March 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Terry Evans officiating. Interment will follow funeral services in the Mound Cemetery, Hunt. Twp, Jasper County, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral at 2:00 pm, Thursday March 19, 2026.The family suggests memorial contributions to the Elks' Christmas Basket fund for the needy or to the Boy's & Girl's Club of Crawford County with envelopes available at the funeral home.Bernice's family would like to thank the staff at Shepherd Premier Memory Care (Arbor Rose) in Robinson, IL as well as Good Samaritan Hospice in Vincennes, IN for their loving, compassionate care during her final months.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
