Erdman, 80, of Allentown, passed away peacefully at her home on March 9, 2026. She was the loving wife of Elwood F. Erdman, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary on February 5.Born in Stiles, Bernadine was the daughter of the late Stephen J. and Ida C. (Leopold) Mikisits. She worked as a keypunch operator in the Engineering Department at the Mack Trucks World Headquarters in Allentown until her retirement.Bernadine was a devoted member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished the recent addition of her great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Mikisits, and her sisters, Theresa Mikisits and Ida-Marie Mikisits.Bernadine is survived by her husband, Elwood F. Erdman; her son, Jeffrey M. Erdman of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Denise M. Erdman of Whitehall; two grandchildren, Sara Trejo and Jacob Erdman; and three great-grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown. A calling hour will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the Mass.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Bayada Home Health Care and Hospice Services.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
