Bernadette Lenkowski Santone, age 76, a longtime resident of Mt. Ephraim, New Jersey, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born in Camden, she graduated from Camden High School and spent many years with New York Life before retiring. Her true devotion, however, was to the home and family she built over a lifetime.
For 57 years she was the beloved wife of Ernie Santone. Together they raised their sons, David and Chris, in Mt. Ephraim, filling their home with love and lasting memories. Bernadette’s greatest joy was her role as “Nona.” She proudly cheered her granddaughter at swim meets, colored and crafted with her grandchildren, and remained their biggest fan in every endeavor. She found happiness in the energy of the casino, the salt air of the Jersey Shore, cooking for those she loved, traveling, and pursuing her many creative hobbies.
She is survived by her husband Ernie, sons David and Chris (and his wife Heather), and her adored grandchildren Quinn Santone, Charlie Dougherty, and Kaden Ryan. She is also survived by her brother Mike Lenkowski and his wife Angel, her brothers-in-law Bruce Santone and his wife Liane, and Paul Santone and his wife Pam, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Bernadette was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Anna Lenkowski. She will be warmly welcomed at the Rainbow Bridge by her loyal dog Pete and her beloved cats Fred Fred and Freddie.
