Spencer. From this union, one child was born.Berdie, as she was affectionately known, received her education at Humphrey High School in Coleman, Texas, and later attended Dunbar High School in Temple, Texas.Berdie began her working career at Scott & White Hospital, where she served in the Nutrition Department for several years. She later continued her career at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System in Temple, working in Nutrition and Food Services. Berdia last served at TVHS until her retirement, concluding her career as a Nurse's Aide.Berdia was a woman of faith. She attended Bethel Independent Methodist Church under the leadership of Pastor DL Jackson. Later, she became a member of New Day Fellowship Church, where she worshiped under Pastor Robert Beamon.Berdia truly cherished spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed good food, watching movies, and relaxing with her loved ones. One of her favorite television programs was In the Heat of the Night.
