Berdena Looman

Berdena May Looman, age 93, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Berdena served many years in the Alumni Department of Calvin University. She enjoyed bird watching and working in her flower garden. Berdena was preceded in death by her husband, John; son Jeff Looman; granddaughters, Melissa Zuverink and Abigail Looman. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jack (Cheri) Looman, Jodi (Ron) Zuverink, Dr. Jon (Brenda) Looman; daughter-in-law, Lynda Looman; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Herb Steigenga; sister-in-law, Ruth Steigenga, and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 9 to 10 am at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street SE, Grand Rapids; where her funeral service will begin at 10:00 am with Rev. Mark Looman, officiating. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Berdena may be made to the First Cutlerville CRC Education Fund.
