He was predeceased by: his parents, Sybil Autry Brooks and Leslie McBride Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Benny McBride Brooks of Atlanta and Cheryl Lynn Brooks of Dallas.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dahlonega Methodist Church (107 S Park St, Dahlonega, GA 30533). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Alzheimer's research of your choice, or to the TLC Animal Shelter, in honor of Mr. Brooks.
