Benny Chester Bennett

Benny Chester Bennett, 78, of Jacksboro, Texas, passed away at his home on March 11, 2026. Born on November 15, 1947, in Weatherford, Texas, to Rochester and Lila Violetta (Pirtle) Bennett, Benny grew up with a strong sense of duty and quiet determination that shaped his life.

He proudly served in the United States Army before spending many years as a meter technician. In 1971, Benny married the love of his life, Polly Kay Auld, in Jacksboro. Together they raised three daughters, Kristi, Kim, and Julie, creating a home filled with love and stability.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Leah Faye Brock, and his brother Floyd Richards. He is survived by his wife, Polly Bennett; his daughters Kristi Daws and husband Ken, Kim Pippin and husband David, and Julie Taylor and husband James; his grandchildren Dalton Bennett, Tyler Pippin, Autumn Brocher, Lauren Trainer, Jaxon Trainer, Ben Daws, and Neva Daws; his sister Judy Ballard; and many other extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
