Benjamin Vernon Clark II, age 82 of Marion, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on January 2, 1944 in Monticello, Arkansas to Benjamin and Eleanor (Longstreth) Clark, he graduated from Caro High School in 1962. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University in 1967 and a Master’s in School Administration from CMU in 1972. In 1965 he married Jacquelyn Campbell, and the couple made their home in Marion in 1968.

For 36 years, Benjamin taught art, biology, and science at Marion High School and served as principal for five years. After retiring from education, he worked as a receptionist for H&R Block. A longtime member of the McBain Baptist Church for 55 years, he found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and camper, with a special passion for fly fishing, and was a dedicated member of the Marion Rod & Gun Club where he also served as a safety instructor.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jacquelyn Clark of Marion; sons Kean (Lori) Clark of Marion and Theron (Rebecca) Clark of Marion; grandchildren Tylor Clark (Madison Danforth) of Grayling and Heather Clark of Essexville; great-grandchildren Willow Grace Clark and Tatum James Clark of Grayling, and one on the way. He is also survived by his niece Courtney (Clark) Stelzner of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and nephew Sylas Clark of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Greg Clark.
