Benjamin “Benji” Morgan Moore, a devoted father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Asheboro, North Carolina. Born on October 1, 1971, in Elkin, North Carolina, he was 54 years old at the time of his passing.
Benji spent much of his career in parts fabrication for the automotive industry, where he was respected for his craftsmanship and dedication. A former employee of Black and Decker, he later built race car parts for HPC in Winston-Salem. His passion for cars extended well beyond the workplace; he enjoyed racing at Rockingham, Bowman Gray, and Piedmont Raceway. In his personal life, Benji was an avid enthusiast of race cars and motorcycles. He cherished the outdoors, whether fishing or spending time working on cars, pursuits that reflected his hands-on nature and brought him lasting joy.
Preceded in death by his father, Morgan Melvin Moore, and his mother, Mary Moore, Benji is survived by his loving sisters: Mary Caudill (Wayne) of Enice, North Carolina; Brenda Ramey (Paul) of Seagrove, North Carolina; and Linda Driggers (Ken) of Maxton, North Carolina. He is also survived by his son, Issac Moore of Coleridge, North Carolina; his niece, Jessica Gwyn of Asheboro, North Carolina; nephews Jeffery Caudill, Greg Caudill, David Gwyn, Herb Driggers, and Blake Driggers; and many great-nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory.
