Benjamin E. Bowers

Benjamin E. Bowers, age 79, of Hudson, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the family farm in rural Hudson. Born on October 12, 1946, in Hudson, he was the son of Owen and Nelle (Wood) Bowers. Ben graduated from Hudson High School in 1965 and lived on the family farm or just around the corner from it his entire life.

A lifelong dairy and hog farmer, Ben found deep joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and trapper, particularly for deer and raccoon, and cherished the excitement of opening day of deer season spent with Jennifer and Blaine. He also loved fishing, camping, and gathering with family. Above all, he passed his passion for hunting, fishing, and trapping to his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured always.

Ben married Marcia Randall on February 11, 2006, in Hillsdale. She survives him, along with his children, Jeff Bowers and Jennifer (Jack) Randall; stepchildren, Michael (Nicole) Hull and Jeremiah (Kristen) Hull; grandchildren, Blaine, Alyssa (Jimmy), and Hunter (Rachael); step-grandchildren, Alexzandra (Gerald), Karley (Cesar), Brady, Kiyomi, Kenji, Jason (Kari), Justin (Tricia), Jessica, Emily (Cody), and Michael (Alyssa); eleven step great-grandchildren; and his brother, William Bowers. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-grandchild Elizabeth.
