She was the daughter of the late Herman Leon Powell, I and the late Ardella Evelyn Jarvis Powell. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her son, "baby" Christopher Callie and one sister, Everly Powell.Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Grace and Truth Community Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A private Interment will be Monday, March 23, 2026, at Christian Home Baptist Church Cemetery, Moyock, North Carolina. A viewing/visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2026, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Grace and Truth Community Church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina."Nita" leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Kristie Powell and one brother Herman "HL" L.
