Belinda Sue Nanninga
July 9, 1964— March 10, 2026
Osage Beach, MO
Belinda Sue Nanninga, aged 61, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Kansas City University Hospital on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
Born on July 9, 1964, in Pontiac, Illinois, to James Frances and Judy A. (Bosone) Decker, Belinda was the eldest of four children. She graduated from PTHS in 1983 and earned her Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Illinois Central College in Peoria. In 1998 she married Mark A. Nanninga, and together they spent 28 years raising their large blended family in Osage Beach.
A licensed physical therapy assistant, Belinda devoted many years to home care in the Lake of the Ozarks area and most recently served as Supervisor of Outpatient Therapy Services at Rehab Visions. Those who knew her described her as strong, fierce, and independent—a force of nature and a fighter. She was also a loyal, protective, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who would do anything for those she loved. Talented with her hands, she ran her own crafting business, Bee’s Crafts, and was known for her quick, sarcastic sense of humor and her straightforward honesty. Even as she battled cancer in her final months, she faced it with the same warrior spirit that defined her life.
She is survived by her husband Mark; their six children, Amanda Lewis of Kansas City, Missouri, Adam (Rebeccah) Lewis of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jacob Nanninga of Osage Beach, Missouri, Jennifer (Brandon) Moore of Osage Beach, Missouri, Ashley (Mike) VanNote of Gibson City, Illinois, and Madison (Charlie) Eblen of Linn Creek, Missouri; and her beloved grandchildren Garrett Cheshire, Lincoln Nanninga, Braelynn, Gatlin and Ridley Moore, Kaidence and Elijah VanNote, and baby Atlas Eblen, due in August. She is also survived by her parents, Jim and Judy Decker of Eldon, Missouri; her brothers Pete Decker of Eldon, Chad (Sally) Decker of Chenoa, Illinois, and Jamie (Angie) Decker of Versailles, Missouri; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Dominic Bosone and Mabel (Brewster) Harris, her paternal grandparents Roy and Geraldine Minar, and her niece Tamara DeRoo.
