Becky Tatman

Arlene “Becky” Rebecca Tatman, 78, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026. Born on October 15, 1947 to Zora and Virginia Tatman, Becky graduated from Felton High School in 1965. She briefly worked at ILC in Frederica before beginning a 41-year career as the Physical Education Teacher at Holy Cross School, where she touched the lives of more than 4,000 students.

After retiring, Becky found joy working at Loblolly Acres alongside her niece, assisting with school tours and reconnecting with former students. She coached volleyball, basketball, and softball in the 1970s and remained a lifelong, avid baseball fan. She cherished time spent socializing with friends in the community, and in her later years she was a regular presence at the Frederica Senior Center and an active member of the Frederica Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Zora and Virginia Tatman, and her sister Barbara Ann Warren. She is survived by her sisters Doris Hobbs (Sam) and Elneta Sheridan, her niece Cheryl Epps who cared for her with devotion, her best friend Mandy Slody, and many nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy in recent times was becoming a great-great-great aunt.
