She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Cozad and Anna Cozad; her husband Wayne Wachs; her children, Wayne, Craig Wachs and Lisa Wachs; her grandchildren, Cory, Brian Wachs, Nick Puyear and Mandy Puyear; and her sister Cheryl Cozad.

She is survived by: her friends, DeeDee, Larry and Ron; her children, Brian Wachs (Jill) of DePue and Cindy McDonald (Mike) of Granville; her daughter-in-law Linda Wachs of Peru; her grandchildren, Kyle Wachs of Ladd, Nicole Wachs of DePue, Jessica McKinley of Peru and Jennifer Gibson of Hennepin; and her siblings, Beverly Herlein, Sandra Cozad, Linda Cozad and Doug Cozad. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shooting Park Road Baptist Church (4281 Shooting Park Rd, Peru, IL 61354). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
