She was born in Winooski, Vermont in 1930 to Leo and Lucy Duhamel. "Bea" graduated from Cathedral High School in 1949. The school was famously staffed by the "Sisters of Mercy." Throughout high school, she participated in the band as a Drum Majorette, Stunt Nite, Glee Club, Mixed Chorus and was a staff member of the Tower (the school yearbook). She formed a wonderful group of lifelong friends.After marrying her husband, Bill, she moved to Hamburg, Michigan. They purchased an additional home on Anna Maria Island, Florida where Bea would reside for more than 30 years. She will be remembered as a petite, independent, spitfire of a women who loved her family. Music and dance were Bea's passion. She had an eclectic genre of music that she loved to sing and dance to from Elvis Presley to Don Ho to Doris Day. One of her favorite songs was Doris Day's Que Sera Sera. She traveled extensively during her lifetime, including both domestic and international destinations.Her family… Bea is survived by her children, Linda Johnson (Kurt), Michael Mayville, and Lou Ann Alberts; and her grandchildren, Justin Mayville, Nicholas Mayville, Rachelle Greeson (Kevin), Cammy Hidlay (William), and Trenadee Johnson. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Mia Mayville, Brody Mayville, Ava Hudson, Raegan Greeson, Harper Greeson, Charlotte Greeson, and Alexandria Hidlay all of whom she adored.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Mayville, her parents, Leo and Lucy Duhamel, her sister, Yvette Duhamel, and brothers, Larry and Roger Duhamel.Her Farewell… Bea's Community Farewell will take place on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 12:00PM (10AM-12PM gathering), at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Hamburg, Michigan. Deacon Dave Piggott will serve as Celebrant.
