Click here to view the Service With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Basmattie Singh. Basmattie passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Kensington Hospice on March 12, 2026. Basmattie was a cherished mother and mother-in-law, a proud and doting grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loving aunt. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.Basmattie enjoyed the simple things in life: comforting meals shared with family, gardening, immersing herself in Bollywood films, and singing along to their soundtracks. She held a deep affection for spending time with her grandchildren and keeping in touch with family and friends in the United States and Guyana through regular phone calls.Basmattie touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.Basmattie's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff on the 2nd floor at Kensington Hospice for their unwavering dedication and kindness.
