Barry Lee Pryse, age 71, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at his home. Born on July 5, 1954, in Hamilton, Ohio, he moved as a young man to Beattyville, Kentucky, before settling in Corbin.
Barry was known for his enduring spirit, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for the open road. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver that spanned more than 45 years, driving for Combs Petroleum and K.P.S. before retiring from Pilot Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elta and Geneva “Bo” Pryse, and his grandparents, Beulah and William Pryse and John and Haley Sizemore. Barry is survived by his wife, Tina Pryse; his son, Keith Pryse of Jackson, Kentucky; his daughters, Joy Fox (James) and Traci Pryse of Beattyville; his grandchildren, Julie Hollon and Weston Bo Hollon of Jackson, Chase Pryse of Booneville, and Harper Moore of Beattyville; his “second” son, John Pfoutz (Crystal) of Corbin, and their children, Timothy and Dillon Pfoutz; his brother-in-law, Edward Smith (JoAnn) of Corbin; his sister-in-law, Tinkle Brown of Corbin; and by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
