Barry Lynn Blaha

Barry Lynn Blaha

Angleton, TX

Barry Lynn Blaha, age 62, of Angleton, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on November 15, 1963, he lived his entire life in the community he knew and loved as home. In his younger years, Barry was a hardworking man with a strong work ethic and a passion for building and creating. He married and became a father at the age of 17, embracing those responsibilities with determination and deep love for his children. He enjoyed tinkering and taking on projects, often working with his hands to fix or build something new.

More than anything, Barry was a devoted father who made time for his children and included them in the things he loved. He taught them to appreciate the outdoors, shared many fishing trips with them, and brought them alongside him in the projects he worked on. He faithfully supported them in their activities and left a lasting impression on those around him with his unique personality. His life held both joy and hardship, and those who knew him best cherish the memories of his earlier years—moments of laughter, glimpses of kindness, and the person he was created to be.

Later in life, Barry faced significant struggles with mental illness that brought many challenges for him and those who loved him. Though these years were difficult, they never erased the man he had been or the life he lived before those struggles took hold. His family finds comfort as Christians in knowing that his struggles have ended and that he is now at peace, resting in the presence of the Lord where pain, confusion, and suffering are no more.

Barry is survived by his children, Brett Blaha and Ashley Taylor (Casey); his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Austin, Shelby, and Wimberley; his siblings, Brian Blaha (Lisa), Bruce Blaha (Tina), Beverly Lanfear, and Brent Blaha (Ann); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Betty Blaha. In remembering Barry, his family encourages compassion for those who struggle with mental illness and holds to the truth that every life—no matter how complicated—has value, dignity, and meaning.
