Barbara “Barb” (Redlaczyk) Wellhausen Rodocker, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2026, in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Born on February 25, 1945, in Bismarck, North Dakota, Barb was known for her independent spirit, wonderful sense of humor, kind heart, and deep love for animals. Her home was never empty; it was filled with the love and companionship of the many pets she cherished throughout her life.
A graduate of Bismarck High School and Bismarck Junior College, Barb lived for many years in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. She began her working life as a “milklady,” delivering glass bottles of milk to customers’ homes, and later became a longtime bartender at the Radisson Hotel and the iconic Red Dragon in Uptown. She also worked as a manicurist throughout her career. In her later years, she made her home in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Lydia Redlaczyk, and her first husband, Bruce Wellhausen. She is survived by her brother Robert “Red” Redlaczyk and his wife Marcia; sister-in-law Suzann Redlaczyk, wife of her late brother Ferdinand Jr. “Red”; sister-in-law Janelle Redlaczyk and niece Claire, wife and daughter of her late brother Theodore “Ted”; nephew Aaron Redlaczyk (Shanly) and great-nephews Joel and Ayden; nieces Robin Dargie and Megan Holmstrom; and nephew Eric Holmstrom (Sarah). Those who loved her will miss her forever.
