Barbara was a devoted wife and mother. She was the bookkeeper for her husband's business, Mt. Washington Body Shop and also enjoyed working from time to time as a saleslady at several area department stores. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and participated in a tele-Sunday School class hosted by Highview Baptist Church.In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Shirley; and son, Darrell Shirley.Survivors include her son, Daniel Shirley (Monica); grandchildren, Jeremy Shirley (Julie), Jonathan Shirley (Kathryn), Christopher Shirley (Megan) and Megan Faust (James); and great grandchildren, Chloe, Noah, Mya, Lily, Rylee, Wyatt, Madalyn, and Charlotte.Her funeral is 10am Friday, March 20, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY with burial in Valley Cemetery, Taylorsville, KY.
