Barbara Musser Darley Strickland

Barbara Musser Darley Strickland of Portsmouth, Virginia, was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 91. She lived a long life marked by quiet strength and deep devotion to her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert Musser and Olga Richter Musser; her former husband, Norman L. Darley; her husband, William L. Strickland; her stepson, Larry Strickland; and her sister, Dorothy M. Fay.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Darley Runyon and John of Summerville, South Carolina, Sharon Darley James and Ted of Easley, South Carolina, and Sandy Darley Kupetz of Orlando, Florida; her stepdaughter-in-law, Cyndi Strickland Cox of Portsmouth, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Michael Runyon, Robert Runyon and Laura, Katherine James Bajsert and Michael, Margaret James Vess and Chad, Allen Jay Kupetz, Leslie Kupetz, and Loren Harvey and Jack. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
