Barbara Dodson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. - Magnolia on Mar. 17, 2026.Barbara Dodson, 81, of McNeil, AR passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at the South Arkansas Regional Hospital in El Dorado, AR.Born November 20, 1944, in Lake Village, AR to the late Thomas Hallard "Hallie" Miller and Iceling Lorene (Funkhouser) Miller-Brown. Barbara worked for 10 years as a Child Support Enforcement Specialist for the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration in Texarkana, AR.Barbara was a member of the McNeil Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing and making crafts.She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sara Davis; and grandsons, Ryan Davis and Matthew Nipper. Barbara is survived by her son, Erik Davis of Utah; daughter, Laura Edwards of McNeil; grandchildren, Daniel Davis of Colorado Springs, CO, Ethan Edwards and Colton Edwards of Arkansas; great grandson, Adian Nipper of Nashville, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.A memorial service will be held at the McNeil Methodist Church with Rev. David Moore officiating; date and time are pending. Barbara's wishes are for her ashes to be interred alongside her family in the Lake Village Cemetery in Lake Village, AR. Cremation services were provided by Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia, AR.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
