Barbara Mary Richard Lovelady

Barbara Mary Richard Lovelady, born November 28, 1946, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Sulphur, Louisiana, surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her children, twin daughters Tiffany Collins of Woodstock, Georgia, and Tonya McKnight of Westlake, Louisiana, and son Kenneth Collins Jr. of Kissimmee, Florida; their father and her great friend, Kenneth A. Collins of Marietta, Georgia; her niece Summer Richard Vestal of Lake Charles; grandchildren Courtney Collins of Denver, Colorado, Tyler McKnight of Iowa, Louisiana, and Kenneth A. Collins III of Northeast, Minnesota; great-grandchildren Cylvia Fruge of Denver, Colorado, and Oliver McKnight of Iowa, Louisiana; and cousins Dean and Chuck Nehring of Gruver, Iowa, with whom she grew up.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 30 years, James Lovelady; her brother Clyde Richard Jr.; her mother Florence Barber Richard; her father Clyde Richard Sr.; and her grandparents Frank Clifford Barber and Eva Nehring Barber, who raised her from a young age.

She will be remembered as a calming, caring soul who was a wonderful listener and conversationalist. Motherhood was her proudest achievement. Barbara had a deep love for cats and butterflies and could never let a stray cat go hungry.
