Barbara was a Deaconess at the Little Rock Seventh Day Adventist Church and began teaching children at church in 1972. Teaching children about Jesus was very important to her. She is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews: Mistry Campbell of Levelland, Texas; Wendy Slaughter of Boise, Idaho; Jamie Perez of Ropesville, Texas; Danielle Fitzgerald of Levelland, Texas; Kenny Knight of Great Falls, Montana; Nicholas Parrish of Clovis, New Mexico; Jackie Parrish of Knoxville, Tennessee; Kimberlee Yarborough of Bayfield, Colorado; Arrica Yarborough of Bayfield, Colorado; Kristy Jouett of Clovis, New Mexico; and Jason Jouett of Portales, New Mexico.

Barbara will be remembered for her strong faith, her dedication to her church, and the love she shared with her family. She touched many lives, especially the children she taught about Jesus over the years. Her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Little Rock Seventh Day Adventist Church (8700 N. Rodney Parham Road) with a service following at 3:00 PM. Barbara will be buried next to David at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
