Barbara M. (Bowman) Hafer

Barbara M. (Bowman) Hafer, 92, of Wyomissing, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Country Meadows. She was the wife of the late Harold F. Hafer, who passed away in 1998. Born in West Reading, Barbara was the daughter of the late James and Francis (Trickle) Bowman. She graduated from Reading High School in 1951 and worked as a clerical assistant for Fortna, Inc. for 62 years until her retirement in 2012. She was a longtime member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Susan M. Lee of Reading, her son Paul J. Hafer and his husband Wayne of Florida, her granddaughters Samantha Crossley and her husband Seth, and Jaclyn, and her great-granddaughter Olive.

She will be remembered for her quiet dedication to her family and her many years of faithful service in her work and church community.
