Barbara Lurline Burger Snider

Barbara Lurline Burger Snider, 88, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Brookdale Senior Living.

A native of Roanoke, Virginia, she was the devoted wife of 63 years to Dewey Lee Snider. Born to Paul Amos Burger and Marinda Johnson Burger, Barbara owned and operated a bridal shop for many years. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Brethren, where she taught Sunday School and worked with the youth. She found great joy in spending time with her family, playing games with friends, and tending her garden.

She is survived by her husband, Dewey; her son, Brian Snider and his wife Robin; her daughter, Candice Walker; six grandchildren, Sophia Snider, Trent Snider, Jessica Walker, Lacie Wheeley and her husband Tyler, Reese Walker, and Riley Walker; and one great-grandson, Walker Wheeley.
