Barbara Lobato

November 1, 1948 February 26, 2026

Centennial, CO

Barbara Lobato, born on November 1, 1948, in Sterling, Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, in Centennial, Colorado. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and Tia, she lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and an extraordinary capacity to care for others.

After graduating from West High School in Denver, Barbara dedicated her career to working in a residential facility as a caretaker for mentally challenged children. She formed deep and meaningful bonds with the children in her care, reflecting her natural gift for love, patience, and understanding. This same nurturing spirit defined her role within her own family, where she created a stable and loving home for her son, Domingo Ramos.

She is survived by her sisters Linda Paez and Rita Trujillo, her step-daughter Monica Kinder and Monica’s son Dominik Christiansen, her grandchildren Angel and Andreas Lobato (Richelle), and her great-granddaughter Amariana Lobato. Many nieces and nephews knew her affectionately as Tia and cherished the warmth and comfort she provided.

Throughout her life, Barbara remained steadfast in her love for family and others, even after the passing of her husband Eric Lobato, her step-son Vincent Lobato, her parents Frank and Florine Trujillo, and her siblings Jimmy Trujillo and Ruby Bargas. Her gentle strength and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to bring comfort to those she loved.
