She was 83 years old.Born on a crisp, late-November day in 1942 in Caddo, Oklahoma, Barbara was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by her brilliance, creativity, and steadfast spirit. As a devoted housewife, she nurtured her family with an unparalleled devotion and wisdom that shaped generations.Barbara's artistic talents were boundless. She had an uncanny ability to capture beauty, which she expressed through her exquisite stained-glass windows and pottery. Her love for art was matched only by her passion for traveling. Barbara lived an adventurous life, exploring the far reaches of the world, including journeys to Japan and Russia with her beloved husband, Gilbert Stegen. Each trip added threads to the rich tapestry of her experiences, enriching those who had the privilege of hearing her tales.Her love for horses was profound, a bond that transcended the ordinary. Martin-Stegen, who will strive to honor her memory by exemplifying the values she held dear.A memorial ceremony to celebrate Barbara's vibrant life will be held on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
