Barbara K. Halsey

Barbara K. Halsey of Lexington, Ohio, passed away on March 9, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Born on March 11, 1949, in Galion, Ohio, to Joseph and Cleola Flannery, Barb graduated from Galion High School and North Central State College. She brought a loving and spirited presence to everyone she met, finding her deepest joy in the company of family and friends.

A devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother and great-grandmother, Barb cherished her time with those closest to her. She filled her patio with flowers, basked in the sun, danced with abandon, vacationed near the water, and embraced everything about Christmas. A lifelong learner, she studied architecture and remained an avid reader throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-one years, Daniel Halsey; her devoted daughters, Amy (David) Stewart and Alesa Mansfield; her cherished grandchildren, Chaz (Cassandra) Hester and Austyn Hester; her adored great-grandchildren Colton, Callie, and Cayson; her sisters Marty Weithman and Patty (Doug) Stauffer; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Leanne Galliers and Michael Flannery; and her first husband, Steven Michael Britton.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and the reminder to live life to the fullest.
