Barbara June Herrington

Barbara June Herrington, 93, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026. Born in Goose Creek, Texas, to Ina and William Brooks, she grew up in what is now Baytown alongside her sister, Sherrye, and attended Lee High School.

For many years Barbara devoted herself fully to her children, serving as PTA president, running the school carnival, and teaching Sunday School so she could remain actively involved in their lives. She later met and married Henry Lowell Herrington; the couple shared 40 loving years together until Lowell’s passing in 2021. In her later years, Barbara worked as a receptionist for Dr. Hunter for 18 years, earning a reputation as a loyal and dedicated employee. She was a longtime member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church and a Matron of the Eastern Star. She found joy in antiquing, collecting knick-knacks from near and far, and traveling with her husband and family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Herrington. She is survived by her children, Debbie Barnes and Ray Keith Anderson; her step-son, Donnie Herrington and wife Sharon; her grandchildren, Michelle Foster and husband Greg, Timothy Brazil and wife Tiffany, Cody Anderson and wife Amanda, and Jaci Williams and husband Sean; her great-grandchildren, Alayna, Carrisa, Tyler, Tara, Matthew, Sara, Adam, Kyler, and Rae-Lynn; her sister, Sherrye Atnip; her adopted son, Clint Johnson; her niece, Chelsea Gregurek; her nephew, David Lorenz; and many other dear family members and friends.
