Barbara Jean Sanvig

1954 — 2026

St. Francis, MN

Barbara Jean Sanvig (Gerber), aged 72, a longtime resident of Anoka County, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by her family. She entered eternal rest to join her mother Shirley Stieg, father Earl James Gerber, stepfathers Edward Stieg and Robert Flaws, and her beloved sister Judith Benesch.

She is survived by her sons, Robert (Tiffany) Richardson and Bruce Richardson, her daughter Amy (Daniel) Huber, and her cherished grandchildren Tyler Richardson, Ashlynn Richardson, Andrew Huber, Hunter Huber, and Natalie Huber. Barbara also leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren Kamryn Richardson, Cashmir Huber, and Bryer Huber, as well as her sisters Nancy (David) Fluth and Robin Tieden and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara had a smile that would light up any room and hugs that made everything better. She was known for her warm, delicious meals and sweets that were impossible to resist. She loved her family deeply and unconditionally, always seeing the best in everyone. Selfless in all she did, she lived with a quiet certainty of where she was going, finding comfort in knowing she would be pain-free in the arms of the Lord as she began her new journey. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
