Lorge, age 82, of Isanti passed away February 28, 2026 at Prairie Senior Cottages. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 12th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.Barbara Jean Lorge was born August 6, 1943 in Seattle, Washington to Sexton and Harriet (Neumann) Kraft. A year later the family moved to South Minneapolis where she grew up. On August 26, 1961 she married Gerald "Jerry" Lorge and they were together for 60 years. Besides being mom, she worked at Berman Buckskin and then at Source Printing in Minneapolis, retiring at age 55. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, traveling, working on puzzles, playing cards, gardening and socializing. She was a strong person who did not complain. She was a great caregiver of her husband and loved spending time with her family.She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Barbie (Varyl) Raze, Jennie (Steve) Wall, Debbie Madline, Sandie (Tim) Hemsworth and Paul (Karie) Lorge; siblings, Duane Kraft, Joan (Larry) LeFavor, Joel Kraft, Cheryl Anderson, Joyce (Jon) Wilkins and Michelle Martin; brother-in-law, Jack Lorge; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild on the way; and by other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; siblings, Barry Kraft, Robert Kraft and Deborah Lorge; brother-in-law, John Anderson; son-in-law, George Madline; and great-grandson, Joey Sanborn.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
