It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Lee Mattie of Bedford, Virginia, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Henry Lee and Mary Bakker Lee; her daughter Erika Mattie; and her brother Richard Henry Lee. She is survived by: her husband James Kenneth Mattie, Sr.; her sons, James Kenneth Mattie, Jr. (Courtney) and Andrew Lee Mattie (Susie); her grandchildren, Lindsey Mattie, Alexander Mattie and Avery Mattie; and her sister Patricia Lange.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Walnut Street Chapel (1235 Walnut St, Bedford, VA 24523).
