Barbara Jean Campbell

Barbara Jean Campbell, born on July 15, 1957, in Springfield, Missouri, to Walton “Walt” Gene and Juanita Ray (Quick) Krumholz, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 68 years and 8 months.

Barbara married Jeff Campbell on September 20, 1974. She spent many years as a secretary in the auto repair industry, working at Bob’s Automotive, and later co-owned J&B BBQ with her husband. She brought warmth and kindness to every workplace she entered. For more than three decades, she and Jeff enjoyed competing in, judging, and attending barbecue competitions across the Midwest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walton “Walt” Gene Krumholz and Juanita Ray (Quick) Chaloud, her stepmother Marie Krumholz, her sister Virginia Krumholz, her sister-in-law Linda Krumholz, and her stepsister Coleen Cron Barham.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Campbell; their son, Jeffrey Campbell (Brenna); her grandchildren, Kyle Campbell and Makayla Campbell; five great-grandchildren; her brothers, Danny Krumholz and Mike Chaloud (Rachel); her sisters, Debbie Duvall (Don) and Shelly Ramsey (Eric); her stepsisters, Pat Corad and Connie Rowland; and many other relatives and friends. She was a loving and encouraging presence in her family’s lives, always supporting them with open arms and gentle strength. Her laughter, love, and kindness will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
